Enlisted minors and drinking?

should people <21 elisted by the armed forces be allowed to drink? off duty..

you can die fot your country but you can't have a beer?

  1. yes they should...personally I think the drinking age should be lowered to 18 anyway. I&#039;d rather not have someone be able to buy a gun and a beer in the same year


  2. I absolutely agree.  The drinking age should be 18 for everyone, anyway.  You can shoot a gun, die for your country, be convicted of a crime and get lethal injection... but you&#039;re not responsible enough to handle a wine cooler?  Please.

    But I&#039;ll let you in on a little secret... there&#039;s no such thing as a soldier not being able to drink.  You get them to any VFW, American Legion, or any other military endorsed club, and they will be served.  As long as they&#039;re in uniform, the clubs where I live will serve them, no questions asked.

    My husband and my brothers were all 18 when they enlisted, and the bartenders in my town were the first to pour them a shot after Basic.
