Ennis Dervla set to stand first in Stayers Trophy
Ennis Dervla is supposed to stand first in the high-stakes race of Bettor.Com Exchange Stayers Trophy which will take place at Shawfield racecourse on Saturday night, April 7.
The J. Ennis-trained black b***h is geared up to show her guts against Caledonian Brae, Derrane Jake, Jumeriah Oyster, Friendly Joe and Whiteys Mugin.
The Open Race over 670m distance will commence at 21:45 (GMT). The event offers £150 to the contestants.
Ennis Dervla has been winning with regular intervals since making her debut in October 2011. The brilliant b***h bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs during November-December 2011.
The two-year-old novice runner won two races in a row during January-February 2012. She moved forward to gain two consecutive runner-up ranks in March.
The daughter of Pricless Rebel out of Frankees A Star marvellously finished first by a big margin of 6 ½ lengths in her last outing on March 30.
Thus, the talented sprinter has managed to install herself at the top of the betting market ahead of the Stayers Trophy.
If she manages to run to her utmost and make accurate use of her inherent racing skills, her chances to finish first in tonight’s race can be as high as 90 percent.
However, the hot favourite b***h will have to be wary of her two potential rivals like Jumeriah Oyster and Whiteys Mugin who can give her enough tough time on the track.
Jumeriah Oyster achieved two back-to-back victories during January 2012. After winning another big race on January 28, the P. Weir-trained black b***h went on to attain a triumph coupled with two runner-up spots in the month of February. She finished first
in her second last start on March 17.
On the other hand, Whiteys Mugin grabbed two consecutive victories during March 2012. The G. Rankin-trained black dog also earned three runner-up positions in the same month. He is confident enough to perform well again tonight.
Thus, a tough tug-of-war is expected among the above three hounds. Success will definitely require a relentless and matchless effort. Let us see how Ennis Dervla justifies her favourite tag.
