GGG Grandparents born nearby Vinegar Hill, Enniscorthy, Wexford Co., Ireland. Names Soloman Feltis and Catherine Wade. Baptized Church of England. Are there any records in Enniscorthy of Baptisms or Deaths about 1847-1850 era? Daughter Sarah born there in 1840s.

I have info about them in US but not Ireland. If I traveled to Enniscorthy would I be able to find any records?

  1. I'm not sure about travelling to Enniscorthy specifically for these purposes (there's not a lot in Enniscorthy), but I did find a website or two that might (emphasis on might!) assist you a little in your search.

As you probably know, this was around the time of the Irish Famine. Whether or not this affected any record keeping, I don't know, but there is a mention of a Dr Jane Lyons in Dublin on the first 2 links that I'm sure you could contact and ask for any other resources. I'm sure she'd be able to help you a bit more.

Wade is a fairly common surname around these parts, so you might even have distant relatives that may know more, if you were able to get in touch with them somehow. Feltis is a little more unusual - I've never heard of it before, personally. Anyway, good luck in your search, and kudos for finding out more about your heritage.
