Enough Is Enough all set for the success in the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Apprentice Handicap
Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Apprentice Handicap has not been able to pull together one of the most competitive fields for the mile’s contest on Tuesday, 3rd July at Gowran Park. Sixteen three-year and above are racing for getting entitled to
the €4,830 prize money.
The only candidate in the field who has won recently is, Mctaggart. Westerner’s five-year-old brown gelding out of mare, Jalopy, won the Greenmount Apprentice Handicap on 16th June, 2012 at Limerick over a mile.
Under pressure from the runner up, Heroine Chic, Mctaggart won by a length’s margin with Shane Gray onboard.
Filling up the third spot was, Loveisthedrug.
This is the first time that the William Coleman trained won in the racing career that dates back to 2010.
The five-year-old Enough Is Enough is being relied upon for staying in the front due to the reasonable level of consistency that she displayed in the last two races.
Daughter of Pyrus ended fourth in the St. John’s Literary Handicap on 3rd June, 2012 at Listowel over a mile. The race was won by the favourite entry, Naked Cowboy who clutched success by a mere neck’s margin.
Finishing the closest was, Mountain Mama, and College Sam reserved the third slot.
Her second try of the 2012 season was in the Play The Tote Placepot Handicap (Division I) on 27th June at Naas over seven furlongs. Kind Enough foaled ended third as Ningaloo Reef, the winner, edged past the reeling in rival, Wellmarked, by just
¾ of a length.
The Irish mare began her racing career in 2010 but has stayed winless ever since the beginning. She has raced at Gowran Park twice before.
On 11th August, 2010, Enough Is Enough failed to break her maiden in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders’ Fund Fillies Maiden at Gowran Park over a mile and one and a half furlong. She ended ninth with fifteen others racing.
Her next race at Gowran Park was in the Gowran Park Gift Vouchers 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle on 20th November, 2010 over two miles. P. Meany trained ended ninth in the field of sixteen.
Ten career outings are enough experience and exposure to finally post a win, thus she should make the most out of the chance today.
