Question:

Enough is enough, time for a CLEAN-OUT!?

after the sydney swans disappointing performance, i think it is due for a clean out of NON PERFORMING AGED PLAYERS!

after witnessing their dismal performance last night when the game was over in the first quarter, it was EASILY observed who STILL wanted to be a swan next year.

Brett Kirk, Barry Hall and Jude Bolton's performance last night in a losing side is to be commended, BUT those who looked just over the game and just not fit enough to play this NEW fast paced game really sealed their fate against collingwood.

-Peter "Spida" Everitt is just too OLD and SLOW and the game has passed him.

-Jarad Crouch

-Lewis Roberts-Thompson (LRT)

-Leo Barry

and those who didn't play against collingwood:

-Luke Ablett

-Nick Davis

-Nick Fosdike

-Ben Matthews

???? over future BARRY HALL?

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

  1. I have to agree with re Spida - is getting a bit long in the tooth!

But I go completely against the trend coz I love Barry Hall - Did something happen again last night that could see him have another little break??

Is Nick Davis still trying to sell himself around the clubs? Would seem that he won't be there too much longer.

  2. Clean em out mate.  Throw them out of the comp - that's what I reckon!

Or at least yeah - they have a serious transition problem, but you have to remember the football communism that reigns in the real AFL.  Not the AFL where the Commission wanted the swans to win a few flags to make it a national game (thus giving them better players from each club to kick them off).  This is the communism that exists in the game for everyone else.

You've won a few flags and now you have no picks of any great value in the draft.  You'll get the 35th best young lad who happens along (or hope that Tony Lockett breeds fast and donates his children to Sydney rather than the Saints).

Get used to it - the subsidised lattes are over with and it's back to earth for Sydney.

  3. the swans are all rejects

the whole team should just drop out of the comp

  4. Im all for getting rid of Spida everitt, he is just so slow i cant belive roos bothers to keep him in every week! when he gets the ball he looks as if he doesnt care and needs to have a sleep, hes not that strong in the ruck anymore and his time is most defently up.

Leo barry has been a strong player in defence but his time is up he has played his career out well but he needs to hang up the boots.

lewis roberts thompson (sorry to say but in the top 5 most ugliest in the afl) has about 2 or 3 years left in him, he is just a bit down on form

barry haul should play on next year, the only small things that cost him are his stupid little things he does, like attempting to punch players when he knows that he gets the most attention paid to him

  5. Yes, I agree.

It's about time Sydney started to do something about developing their own players instead of trying to poach experienced players from other clubs. It has caught up with them this season - they have a band of Dad's Army playing for them - & they are getting weary as the season goes on.

  6. I think Sydney do need a clean out, and I think they have a rebuilding process ahead of them. Sydney have had a great run over the past few years, and their players have served them well, but now it's time for them to develop some young players, and look to the future.

  7. good point collingwood was far to young and Verile for the aging swans

    Barry Hall is just embarrising

  8. There's at least 3 players that need to be shown the door at the end of the season with Everitt at top of the list. But Collingwood seem to be Sydney's bogey side at the minute so I wouldn't be too hard on the guys.

But it's a bad time of the year for a form slump though.
