Enriching reaching out for streak beyond hat-trick in the Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Final (Handicap)
With seventeen three-year-old and above threats gathered for the Class 3 Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Final (Handicap), there are quite a few possibilities that can be seriously considered, and are highlighted by, Debating Society and Enriching. With the
support of a back-to-back, and a hat-trick in the case of the latter, they make the prime deserving candidates for the £15,563 prize money.
Warwick race course will host the mile, two furlong and 188 yard race on Thursday, 4th October.
The Lydia Pearce trained, Enriching, has proved his polished racing expertise by winning thrice in a row while racing with three different jockeys. The approach translates the versatility of the four-year-old American chestnut gelding.
Seven outings down the season had him grabbing the attention of the crowds only through the last three starts of the season, the first two at Yarmouth, and the final one at Bath race course.
Fifth attempt of the season saw him giving a hard time to the line-up of the Sidegate Motors Handicap on 14th August, 2012 at Yarmouth over a mile.
The true test of his potential came in the final furlong of the race, staying courageous in which gave him half-length edge over, Sanad.
He bagged the £1,617.25 in partnership with jockey, Stevie Donohoe.
Reflecting the retained composure, Enriching won the Conference At Great Yarmouth Racecourse Handicap (Division I) on 26th August, 2012 at Yarmouth over a mile.
He enjoyed the leadership of the track even when the final three furlongs were still under way, came clear through the challenge when ridden over, and responded confidently to the pressure, winning the race by the margin of three lengths.
Qualifying as the runner-up was, Monsieur Pontaven.
Lemon Drop Kid’s gelding completed the trio by capturing the Bathwick Tyres Trowbridge Handicap (Division II) on 15th September, 2012 at Bath race course over a mile and two furlongs.
Favourite for the bettors defeated Elsie Bay, by 1 ¼ lengths.
Backed by 12 to 1 chance, the gelding is paired up with, Jimmy Quinn, and the duo has drawn the second gate.
He has won over good to firm, firm and good surface, if his experience over soft ground condition will give the connections a reason to celebrate or not will unfold soon.
