The Marassi President has stated his faith that the club’s most prized asset will not be leaving Stadio Luigi Ferraris; he will sell him if the striker demands a move
As we head for the final quarter of the season, speculation has begun to mount on many players’ future.
One such speculation involves http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. There had been strong indication of a possible switch to San Siro for the Argentine last summer, but no move materialised and the striker stayed at the Rossoblu.
Amidst mounting speculation yet again, Preziosi has stated that he has a strong feeling that the striker will stay put with the Luigi Ferraris outfit in the coming seasons. Despite the claims of the Grifone chief, there will be definite
interest in the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Banfield-c38595 striker.
The patron commented on the commitment shown by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miguel-Veloso-c25602 and Palacio last season, remarking:
“Last summer, [Miguel] Veloso came to me and said: ‘President, I want to stay in Genoa’. And indeed he has. The same desire was expressed by Palacio and he has also remained.”
Preziosi also spoke about Genoa’s commitment in keeping the striker at the club, and reflected that they are stretching their budget by the money they are paying to Palacio. However, he stated that there is no pressure on the player,
and everyone involved with the club is hopeful that the striker will continue to score goals. He remarked:
“Not only that, but I also improved his contract to a figure that is normally out of reach at Genoa. He is costing us €2m a season and he can earn even more if, as we all hope, he scores more goals.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Boca-Juniors-c38658 star has been prolific for the Rossoblu, finding the back of the net 14 times from 21 appearances this season. Besides the goals scored, he has also been involved in setting up four goals.
Given this great goal-to-match ratio, it is no surprise that the Nerazzurri have been constantly linked with the Argentine. The Beneamata have had trouble scoring this term, and are on a terrible run of form this season.
