The Rossoblu president reveals that he will reconsider his executive position at the club at the end of the season; insists he may resign if he is unwanted at the Old Fool.
Genoa President, Enrico Preziosi, has stated that he will gladly walk away from the club if the negative sentiments about him persist until the end of the season.
Sundays events at the Stadio Ferraris visibly angered the Grifone chief as Genoa’s game against Siena was halted in the second-half due to major disturbance from the agitated fans.
A small group of enthusiastic aficionados invaded the pitch, causing the game to be temporarily suspended for a long time, and also demanded the Rossoblu captain along with his teammates to handover their jerseys, as they were deemed unworthy of wearing
them.
The event was a culmination of disappointing results in the league matches that has reckoned the club a relegation candidate, and also the three coaching changes this season by Preziosi that has been strongly criticised by the supporters.
After this humiliating event, the toy tycoon has revealed that he may walk away from the club at the end of the season. He insisted that he plans to occupy the position as the club’s president for the remainder of the season, after which he will weigh his
options weather to stay or leave the club.
Preziosi insisted that it will be best for him to abscond if it becomes clear, at the end of the season, that the perception is overwhelmingly negative about him in the eyes of the club stakeholders.
While talking to the press, the Vecchio Balordo chief said:
“I’ll continue to do my http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 until the conclusion of the campaign, then I’ll decide what to do in the future. If I am not wanted here then it might be the best decision to take a backwards step.”
Preziosi’s affair with Genoa has been a long and hearty one. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toy-c35496 tycoon took control of the Rossoblu following their relegation to Serie C, and it is under his presidency that the club rose to its present position in Italy’s top flight.
