International break witnessed Radamel Falcao’s stay at the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon come into question. The Colombian expert marksman was not the only individual whose loyalty to Atletico Madrid was challenged, with President Enrique Cerezo finding himself in a
similar dilemma.
The Vicente Calderon supremo took out time to clear the air about Falcao’s future and his own in respect to Atletico Madrid. He shared that he wants to continue with the Madrid based entity and believes the prolific hitman will follow his lead, whilst stating
that he is unsure about Radamel Senior.
Continuing on the topic, Cerezo remarked that he is optimistic off what the coming days will hold, reflecting that it is an honour to lead a prestigious club for such a long duration. He added that he still r retains the enthusiasm when he first took the
position and wants to add more years against his name.
"I hope to be here another 25 years with Falcao. With his father, I do not know, but with him I hope so," he said while in conversation with Madrid based Spanish sports daily, AS.
"I am excited and very happy about this, because to be a leader of a football club for 25 years is very difficult. I have the desire and enthusiasm to continue longer.”
Cerezo admitted that his ride with Atletico Madrid has not been smooth, with the eventual troughs and crests encircling his stay in the Spanish capital.
Nevertheless, he has only fond memories of the days gone by, years during which he oversaw Atleti faithful rejoice in the eight titles they have added to their trophy cabinet.
"There have been ups and downs, but I'll stick with the first, with the times that we had fun. There have been many and in twenty years we have won eight titles.”
"Football is a matter of stages and hopefully both teams will weaken, they have to. I, for my part, want to continue in football."
