A.S Roma boss, Luis Enrique, is delighted with his team’s performance in the 1-1 draw against Juventus on Monday, December 12, 2011.

in the second half. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gianluigi-Buffon-c14833 made a stunning save to deny the Italian from six yards.
Enrique was under immense pressure from the fans and former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 players before the match and the result will give him a huge sigh of relief. The former Barcelona B coach believes that his team played great football against the
best team in the league this season. The Spaniard added that the team played really well in the opening few minutes but Juventus bounced back strongly.
“We wanted to keep the ball in the first half, but Juventus were putting pressure on us. After conceding the equaliser, we saw that the possession was less balanced and created four scoring opportunities. The team did what the
fans wanted to see tonight, so we hope to continue this way.”
Roma were missing a few key defensive personnel for the game but Enrique believes that his team coped with the loss very well and showed real character. The 41-year-old is happy for the fans and believes that it was exactly the
result they had hoped for.
“I enjoyed the first five minutes of the game, then I saw Juve are a great side and their Coach has given them real character. The attitude of my team was wonderful, even with three or more players missing. The fans were also right
behind us.”
The Giallorossi are looking to pick some points after a slow start to the season and Enrique believes that the performance against the Old Lady can get them moving in the right direction.
Roma have moved to the 9th spot in the league table and have picked up 18 points from 14 matches played thus far.
