Enrique not believing in Scudetto yet but impressed with his team’s development: Serie A news
A.S Roma manager, Luis Enrique, has conceded his team’s chances of winning the Scudetto in the 2011/12 season.
Roma underwent a major overhaul from the boardroom staff to the players and the coaching staff in the summer transfer window. Enrique was appointed as the new head coach of the club and was assigned the responsibility of implementing
the Barcelona style philosophy at the Stadio Olimpico Rome.
The Giallorossi made major changes to their squad during the summer and spent a lot of money in signing new players. Enrique’s start to his Roma career witnessed some difficulties in the earlier part of the season, as his team
was knocked out of the UEFA Europa League preliminary round by European minnows, Slovan Bratislava. Their league campaign also witnessed a tough start, as they had to wait until their fourth game to register their first win.

The 41-year-old added that he is seeing some major improvements in his team but it is too early to make them title contenders.
While talking to the reporters, Enrique said, “Roma, as it stands, can’t win the title. We’re in a phase of construction and as a result we are not a strong side. However, I don’t know what will happen in three or four months.
Saying that, I do believe that we are growing at a fast rate.”

Enrique has urged Lamela to remain grounded and continue his good work in the future too.
“Lamela just has to remain calm. He has to continue working with consistency because he is still very young.”
