Liverpool’s defender, Jose Enrique believes the Reds have enjoyed a successful current season, despite missing out on a Champions League spot.

The Anfield side will go head to head with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 in the semi-final of the FA Cup on 14th of April. The Reds have already secured a place in the Europa League next season, by winning the Carling Cup earlier in February.
"We wanted to play in the Champions League next season but that is already finished. But we are in the Europa League and that is not that bad," he said.
“Of course we are playing for [the FA Cup]. It is important to take another one – two titles in one season would be amazing.”
The Spaniard came to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 from Newcastle United last year in August, for an estimated cost of about 7 million pounds. Since then, he has made 37 appearances for the Reds, but is yet to score the club.
The 26 year old lamented his side’s impoverished form in their home games in particular, and admitted that they needed to change it around in the coming season, if they wanted to challenge for a Champions League spot. The Reds have only managed to win 5
league matches at home this season.
“It is frustrating because [at Anfield] teams who come here have fear and we have dropped many points. We have to think that next season this cannot happen.”
He also pointed out that it was important for a big club like Liverpool to maintain their dominance in the league.
“Everyone can improve because when the team doesn’t work in the league, no-one is safe.”
Enrique termed his first complete season at Anfield as a ‘great experience’, and went on to say that Liverpool will be a much better side after the summers.
