Enrique satisfied with the performance despite the defeat, Malesani not happy despite the win
A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 manager, Luis Enrique, is satisfied with his team’s performance despite a defeat against Genoa.
A late strike from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juraj-Kucka-c20099 helped Genoa to win 2-1 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Wednesday, October 26th, 2011. The Giallorossi were clearly the dominant of two sides in terms of chances created but were unlucky
with the result.
Enrique believes that his team played extremely well and they deserved to be on the winning side. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 B coach is satisfied with the progress his team has made so far this season but feels that they need to improve
more.
Enrique said, “In my view the right result should’ve been our victory. I am happy with the performance, as we played well. Tonight the team played the way I want it to and I have to praise the lads. We’ve got to improve on many
aspects, but this is my Roma.”
The defeat takes them to the 8th spot in the league table after picking up 11 points from eight games thus far.
Genoa manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 Malesani admitted that his team were lucky to win the game and believes that it was not the best of performances from his side. The Marassi manager insisted that his team did not get adequate time to prepare
for the game and Juraj Kucka was lucky to score a late winner.
The tactician admitted that despite taking the lead, his team played poorly in the first half but were better after the break. He also praised the character his team showed to fight for the win and believes that the victory will
get them back on track after a poor run of form.
Malesani said, “We didn’t have much time to prepare for this match and something didn’t work in our tactics. We struggled a great deal in the first half, while there was an improvement after the break. I liked the character shown
by my team, because that made the difference in this game.”
Roma will host Champions, A.C Milan, in their next game on Saturday, October 29th, 2011. On the other hand, Genoa will travel to Fiorentina the next day.
