  1. I would think so, it's made with soy... I'm lactose intolerant and this doesn't bother me in any way. I highly recommend it. I refused at first because I thought it was a drink for elderly people. My mother suggested it because I've lost so much weight due to medications and a hectic job schedule. So lately I sometimes feel light headed like I need to eat, but not having hunger pains! So I tried the Ensure and I love it. The Ensure helps with that dizzy feeling without making me feel like I'm having to force feed myslef because I'm not really hungry. If it's ice cold, the strawberry taste like Quick.

  2. It contains milk, so not safe for vegans though OK for lacto-vegetarians. D3 "from sheep" is usually extracted from lanolin, or wool fat, not from body fat of the sheep. It can be extracted in a vegetarian-safe manner, though I cannot guarantee that the lanolin that Ross Products Division of Abbott Labs uses came from a humane source. You'd have to contact them to be sure.

  3. ensure is cooperate america trying to monopolize on the "protien shake" so they cheapen it up with chemical vitamins and high frutose crapola and tell people its healthy..its not

  4. It's been years since I have looked at the ingredients list on it - but if it is the same as it was back in the early 90's when my mother had cancer - - it is the exact same thing as commercial baby formula except with flavoring and sugars added.

If such is the case - that means that it has dairy.  So only those that allow dairy within their diet would see it as acceptable for their diet.

My suggestion - read the label to make sure that it has within it what you personally can eat.

  5. No, it contains whey, which is a milk product, and D3, which is derived from sheep.  Ensure is a c**p product, vegetarian or not.  It is basically sugar, corn syrup, milk protein, artificial junk, and supplemented vitamins.
