Entering my WAP code?

I have a 26 char WAP key, im trying to get my new laptop working on my wireless network, but i seem to only be able to enter a WEP key and not a WAP key, im runnning windows vista, how can i enter the WAP key?

wap key or wpa key? because wap is for moblie phone  if its then  WPA *REQUIRES* 802.1x authentication be enabled.

In Windows vista land, there's a separate Authentication tab for IEEE 802.1x authentication, which is disabled by default for WPA-PSK or WEP when key provided automatically is unchecked, and should not be check (enabled).

and see if it has the same settings as what you have.
