    My answer to your question is no, you can't. Unless you can prove whoever signed the lease died. Sometimes with a real hardship case you can get out of it, like you were  shipped to active duty in the military.

    That is the reason you sign a binding lease when you move into a place. If you didn't have to do that, people could just move in and out at will. Everyone thinks their situation is unique, but when your job is rentals, you have heard them all. Most places also have certain criteria and they don't bend for anyone.........
