  1. Try getting them some catnip that always gets my cats active. or if you have some string tie it to your pants or hold it in your hand and let the cat(s) chase you * that is my cats favorite thing to do*

if you are not in the mood to run or you cant run at all then you can or just cant tie a long string or peice of yarn to the celing and let it dangle while your cats jump to grab it :P

    hope it helped

  2. Laser pointers are great.  Also, there is a toy that's like a really little fishing pole with a cat toy on the end.  Mine love that thing.

Another thing is McDonalds toys.  The little tiny plush Happymeal toys are the only things that my cat will play with other than the above.

  3. You can hold a "fishing pole" (it can just be a long stick or something) and tie a string on it. Then you just glide it acroos the floor like it's prey and it's running from the cat. That way they will feel better because their mother taught them to hunt and now they can use their skills!!

  4. Hey llily,

Have some cat toys on hand

Cat toys do not have to be expensive to be effective. My cats like the cheap $1 toys I've bought for them. They provide them with lots of entertainment and fun. You can also be a little more creative and provide makeshift toys for them out of common household items, such as scrunched up pieces of paper bags. Toss the paper bag the way you would a ball and watch in delight as your cat chases after it. He will think it is great as he kicks it around the floor.

Involve your cat with your activities

Cats are often so curious about what we are doing. So rather than tell your cat to stop bothering you when you are cooking, let them sit and watch you. Offer them a cardboard box to sit in and they will be happy. Just imagine all the new sights and smells your cat must experience each time you prepare food. Their noses are more sensitive than ours. So this will be a nice way for them to pass their time. Or if you are typing on the computer, have your cat sit with you on your lap, if he is willing. Both of mine do this periodically, although not both at once thankfully! They like to watch the screen as it changes. This really fascinates them.

    Take them for a walk

I am a firm believer in making the life of our pets happy and meaningful. I do not like to see animals shut up all day long with no human stimulation or company. One way that you can do this is to take your cat out for a walk on a lead. I know this may sound a bit odd, but you can train your cat to accept a lead. Be prepared for the stares though as people quite cleverly declare "it's a cat!" as if they have never seen a cat before. Some cats will not accept a lead at all, but will quite happily walk alongside you as you walk over to pick up your post or walk around the block. So try to include periods of exercise for your cat. The fresh outdoor air will benefit both of you.

    Talk to them

Unless you are a cat whisperer, you will not be able to understand what your cat is saying, but you can still talk to them, stroking their head, face, chin and back as you do so. Cats like to be stroked and made to feel special. Try giving them a gentle massage around their shoulders and on their head and watch as they close their eyes in enjoyment.

Cats are sociable creatures. They can get bored, just the same as you or I, if left to their own devices for too long. So do what you can to entertain them and make them happy. As a pet owner, you have an obligation to care for your cat, and this involves caring for their emotional as well as their physical needs.

  5. Buy one of those laser lights.cats love them and it gives them good exercise.Don't shine it in their eyes'though. They also love getting wasted on catnip.Go into any store and buy one of those long catnip scratching boards.Their only made out of cardboard and their very cheap.

  6. Take a laser they chase it,

    Buy It A New Toy.

Take A Peice Of String And Tie A Ball Of Paper They Love That :]

    Hope I Helped :)
