Entertaining children?

Question

I work at a daycare, up to age 12. what are some good ways to entertain them? I usually read to them, but the books go really fast. I also like singing to them or playing Simon Says.

what are some songs to sing?

that are catchy and fun.

or games to play?

be verrry creative!

walks outside.........I spy. Let each kid have a turn depending on how many there are.

Painting. Just finger paint anything. Even the older kids like to do it.

Try organizing a kid's carnival. During the summer, this is always fun and they'll love it. We've done this before and each child is paired together........we had such games as ring toss, roll the ball through the frogs mouth, lollipop pick, etc. They can make the games out of old soda bottles, cardboard boxes, etc.

You can always have them put on plays. Let them make up their own stories and put on a show for the kids.
