Question:

Entertainment on Virgin Pendolino trains?

I recently travelled on a Virgin Pendolino from London Euston to Glasgow and decided to plug my headphones into the audio socket that is situated next to my seat. The magazine onboard advertises that you can listen to a few radio programmes but when I plug my headphones in, I hear nothing. Why is it that on the Pendolinos, you can't listen to the radio programmes that are on offer?

  1. They are like the music channels on a plane.  Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.  Someone has to remember to switch them on.

Write to Virgin Trains and complain.  They'll send you a travel voucher.

  2. Perhaps you should turn the volume up?
