Entry level separation from USMC?

I was diagnosed with asthma the 3rd week of bootcamp . And received entry level separation. I am fully active and qualified for all the physical duties for a police officer.Does this count as an honorable discharge so I can become a Houston Police Officer???

  1. it has no consequences. do the police let you in with athsma? thats what you need to know


  2. An entry level separation is not a categorized discharge so I am not sure if you can count it an an honorable discharge, you were still in the first phase of boot camp.

  3. Basically, this type of discharge has no negative effects on your ability to find employment. this discharge basically says that you were not in long enough to truly categorize your service. You may have to explain to the interviewer why you were discharged, but like I said there should be negative connotations associated with that. Good luck.
