Enviornment jobs?

I really want to get in to the enviornment!

What are some jobs I can do that are flexable, and I don't have to flip over an interview for?

I'm not too worried about pay, I really just want to do something!

  1. There are these people who are collecting seeds all over the world for when one of the continents has a really bad earthquake or fire or hurricane and the people will give them seeds to plant so they can have something to eat. they have a big cell in the North Pole to keep the seeds safe.

  2. I heard of a man collecting different types of seed ,dry up and scatter wherever he goes on business tour.

  3. How about picking up aluminum cans?  Each can is worth 3 cents and more if you are in a state that offers deposits.  You are also a good example to others that see you doing it.  I suggest local softball leagues to pick up cans.  most people like the parks and will help you by placing them where you can easily get them.

  4. Contact your local watershed group. It's all volunteer work (with rare exceptions) but it's fun, you meet interesting people, and it looks very good on a resume. Besides, one of those interesting people may point you to a good job some day.

I got my first long-term consulting job because I was volunteering to advise my township on environmental matters.
