Hi my question is, is that i was wondering if anyone notices the global issues were having, with our lack of foods, the glacier melt, the continental flooding, the warming of the earth, the rapid extinction of the animals, and all this other bad stuff that is happening, my question basically being is.. do you as a person have concern at all or even realize what is going on? and do you think people around the world should really kick it into gear and start doing things to help our environment? if you can answer this question logically it would be highly appriciated thank you.

  1. Yes I am concerned and have been for awhile (bought a hybrid car in 05).

I do think more and more people are given creedence to what is going on, helped by celebrity influence and movies like "An inconvenient Truth".  If you haven't noticed, it is trendy to be "green" right now.   With high gas prices, people are finally conserving a little bit.

The Kyoto meeting is coming up and it will be interesting to see what comes from that.  US many times goes and acts like nothing is wrong.  I don't think, despite Bush being in charge, it can still be ignored.

  2. I completely agree with you on what you are saying.  I asked a similar question a while ago.  It seems people think that the climate crisis is solely the environment's doing.  What i mean is that humans contribute hardly anything to the severe predicament we're in.  I have my reasons to agree and disagree with this.  I think humans definitely contribute to global warming more then we think.  As a person who will probably live through the effects of the climate emergency, I obviously have some concerns! Hope this helps!

Also, if you haven't seen "An Inconvenient Truth" with Al Gore, then you should.  The calculations are off at times, but it gives you a better understanding of what is going on.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I agree man no one gives a ****. Not until New York eventulally is flooded by the rising sea level.

  4. Hey there, I'm ExxonMobil and I could care less about your environment. I am rolling around in billions of dollars worth of gasoline sales, I've got several mansions, sixteen different brands of racecars and two yachts. Oh yeah, did I tell you about my six hundred thousand gas stations? Wait, were we talking about ice caps melting? I'm sorry; my gold stacks in the bathroom call to me.

    Understand sarcasm? Ok, good. :)
