Enviromentally friendly rooms in school?

i have to do a major project in school and i chose to improve my schools weight room to make the entire thing enviromentally friendly. give me ideas on how i should build this...

also what are some websites that will give me ideas of buildings, and materials and how much materials cost

Well first of all, you can start of with turning off all of the electric or anything that uses non man made power.

Because my school leaves it on like 24/7 which just doesn't make sense.
