  1. it is polluted, global warming is getting worse, we must do our best to reduce gas emissions, we must help to save our environment. .......... and many more

and also include "the best ways on how to help save the environment" try to convince people on what you believe, try to look smart

    EDIT

    by the way, good luck

  2. Sooner than later, some brilliant scientist will "invent" the right word to describe our current environmental condition. Far too much attention is focused on GW, man made or natural, rather than the definitive bottom line:  our planet and its environment are undergoing "some" type of major anomalies. And whatever that "force", nothing we do in the next month or 10 years, will reverse it.

One element to all this is that people world wide, seem to forget that a Governments secret priority, is to never cause or allow panic. To that end, they will engage in misinformation, at the lowest level of society if necessary.

    People are just too trusting.

  3. i would mention about

    1. recycling about we dont do enough .. the landfills are nearly all full and we use too much waste .. maybe to put green bins more around the place so people can use these instead

    2. Global warming . ice caps melting in the arctic . animals such as polar bears dieing because of the conditions they will have to live in if this carrys on

    3. Animals - they are having to find new habitats and so are sorts of plants .. i heard about a plant that moved to nearly the other side of the world because of these conditions .

    4. Maybe about how much electricity we use and the pollution thats going into the air . such as too many cars and lorrys.

also about planes they are airtravel and the worst for pollution because they are closest to the sky.

    Hope this helps ! :)

  4. Your opponents in this debate may not allow you to paint them into a corner by claiming that global warming does not happen.

Your opponents may not even offer the assertion that CO2 does not contribute to global warming.

If you come to the debate prepared with documentary evidence that  a lot of scientists agree that these are the facts, and assume this will win the debate, you may be hit with a simple acknowledgement that these are the facts.

If that is as far as you came prepared to argue, you have just been flanked.

Now your opponents are waiting for you to skate onto the thinner ice, by proposing that we have to do something about this.

    The obvious questions are:

Can we stop global warming, Says who?

What procedure can we use to stop it, Who says this procedure will work? Can we even do this?

Do we have a concensus around this procedure?

Might we have waited to long to invoke this procedure?

If not, then are we safe to go on waiting to invoke it for  some period? How long do we have? And who offers this estimate?

If we are close to a tipping point, so that action needs to be taken immediately, How will we know when we have passed the tipping point?

Does it make any sense rushing off to invent a procedure to stop global warming without knowing whether we might already be too late?

How do you know that this we have to do all of this procedure?  Have you reliable estimates of cost for this? And who do you plan to saddle with this cost? What if they rebel?

If you see where I am going, you need to be prepared not only to argue that there is global warming, not only what its causes may be, not only that it is bad for us, not only that we should do something to stop it, but be prepared to defend a course of action, and show that this course of action is agreed upon as likely to accomplish the objective, and as doable, and as politically viable.

Unless you are prepared for all of those twists, you should use a process called voir dire.

In voir dire each side tells the other what they plan to acknowledge or contest. Knowing those things that will be contested we can tailor our content to deal directly with the issues without need to prove items that are acknowledged.

You need to go into voir dire with a list of statements that the opponent will either assent to, or will contest. The opponent should be invited to present their list too, so that they and you are on an equal footing.

Ordinarily, it is best to have voir dire weeks before debate, but overnight often has to do.

    Bon chance!

  5. That it is an issue that has been brushed to the side and not taken seriously for way too long.

To think about the future generations... our children and their children.  It's they who will have to face the devastating end result of our laziness.  The people in power now don't care what they are doing because they wont be alive by then.

The major contributor to global warming is gas consumption.  There are other ways to get around... and not just by getting rid of vehicles either.  Watch "Who Killed the Electric Car"

Make the point that everyone has to step up and do something.  Power is in numbers.  We can't rely on others to do it for us.

Stop thinking about how much money we can make.. and start thinking about saving our planet and the precious things on it.

  6. Global Warming is a SCAM!!

John Coleman former founder of the Weather Channel is claiming that Global Warming is due to the Sun getting hotter! Every planet has gotten hotter, is this due to pollution on Mars, Venus, and Uranus?

  7. Avoid relating one with the other, in fact, don't bother with global warming.  Global warming is a serious problem, but there a some very loud, well-funded "skeptics" that are confusing the situation and most people whether they think global warming is real or not, or not well informed about the realities of it.

Instead, make it an issue of economics.  hydrocarbon fuels are efficient, but major resources are limited to less than 20 countries while the remaining 175+ countries have to pay to get their fuel.  That was not a problem before, but with the rapid increase in prices it has had a greater negative impact on countries and individuals that any positive benefits gained by the few exporting countries.

Using the US as an example, everyone is complaining about our current account deficit and usually pointing the finger at China.  If we stopped using hydrocarbons, our debt would go down by 30%, significantly more than if we stopped buying things made in China.  Also, look at job production.  Companies like Exxon and Chevron have a lot of employees, but most of those are foreigners working at well sites in other parts of the world.  If we got our energy from local sources, wind or solar for example, the gain in jobs would more than make up for any job losses from hydrocarbon companies.

Another issue is security.  Most of the countries that have large reserves do not particularly like the US and other "western" nations.  If a country is energy independent, decisions can be made on what is best for the country, not what is best for oil companies.

Those are arguments that everyone should be able to agree on and if they are implemented, it will benefit the environment more quickly than the current back and forth debate on global warming.

  8. Some of the activities of man also produce greenhouse gases. These gases keep increasing in the atmosphere. The balance of the greenhouse gases changes and this has effects on the whole of the planet.

Burning fossil fuels - coal, oil and natural gas - releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Cutting down and burning trees also produces a lot of carbon dioxide.

A group of greenhouse gases called the chlorofluorocarbons, - which are usually called CFCs, because the other word is much too long! - have been used in aerosols, such as hairspray cans, fridges and in making foam plastics. They are found in small amounts in the atmosphere. They are dangerous greenhouse gases because small amounts can trap large amounts of heat.

Because there are more and more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, more heat is trapped which makes the Earth warmer. This is known as GLOBAL WARMING.

A lot of scientists agree that man's activities are making the natural greenhouse effect stronger. If we carry on polluting the atmosphere with greenhouse gases, it will have very dangerous effects on the Earth.

  9. Try using some current events; such as the 200 miles of ice shed that fell in the artic. Rising global water temperature is a good sign the climate is changing.

  10. Now a days, global warming is getting worse because of the people who do not know how to care our surroundings.

    1. We must clean our surroundings.Do not always burn the garbage. Recycle it and you can sell it to the market.

    2. The smoke belching. Especially in manila, there are lots of transportation. Try to commute. If your going to the place that is near, try to walk and you can have exercise.

    3. The factory. There are lots of factory in manila. It can also make worse  the global warming.
