Environment and webservice ?

hi,i am a computer science student,and want to work on my final semester project with this topic"environment",i with my team want to develop a web service(a website,likely) which can help saving environment anyhow !!!.. i have posted a similar question few days back,and posting it again to get maximum ideas..so that a large set of ideas can help us building a better service/application/software ...u can mail me too for further clarifications,if needed ..thanks :)

Contact an established enironmental group or conservation club and ask if they would like some web services.  Don't design something as a stand alone that will die when you stop the tech support on it.
