Hi there, I want to give a year 8 class a biology lesson about Environmental Pollution. Has anyone got any ideas of interesting experiments or demonstrations?

  1. I really can't imagine how to do an experiment or something like that... You could go ahead and do something rather simple... stuff like taking a fishtank and put a big stone in it. Fill the fishtank so that the stone is not fully covered. Put a big lump of ice on the stone. Add a lamp.

The water is the ocean and the ice are the poles and the glaciers... The lamp is the sun... mark the height of the water level before you start and talk about global warming... by the end you can show what happens if the poles melt down...

Add a nice pic that shows what a higher water level means... you might even put it behind the tank to show where the water levels are after the meltdown and what is "under water" now...

That's all I could think of... sorry...
