Environmental Thesis ideas?

Question

Any ideas on a environmentally themed thesis?

I am in a bit of a rut as to what to base my thesis on and any suggestions would be great.

It can deal with any aspect of the environment and thats the problem....its too broad!!

Thinking of some ideas along the lines of:

E coli, water, septic tanks

Rain water regeneration

Efficient collection of rainwater

So any ideas would be good!! Tanks

you want a good question.

i suggest you start with a spray diagram of, say, water use in a particular area  of interest to you, and then focus in on an interesting bit, do another, then move on to a cause and effect diagram. just keep chopping bits off, narrowing the system boundary, the natural tendency of these things is to expand to the size of the universe. look at the connections, your question will be there.

If it were me, I would do an analysis of those stupid CFL bulbs.  You know, the ones that the lobbyists paid the government to endorse.

Lets take a look at how much they really save us if say, I dunno, a million or so of them ended up in a breached landfill.

What would be the impact to the drinking water?

I did my undergrad environmental science thesis on landfill reclamation, specifically for recreational uses.

I have done Master's degree thesis on the microbial population dynamics in olive wastewater biofilms and how these microorganism population change over two production seasons at an olive oil and table olive plant. Determine whether the indigenous biofilms were capable of withstanding the hostile wastewater and whether it has the potential to be used as a bioremediation tool for this toxic wastewater.
