Environmentalists, which side do you choose.?

I'm an environmentalist, but in this case the law is on the side of the owner of the solar panels.

Hahahah... this one is debatable....

I think that I would go for redwoods... Why not just put the solar  panels on risers or face them in a different direction??

It would be extremely wastefull to cut down two perfectly good redwoods to save this guy some money on his energy bill...

I would say the Redwoods.  The trees were there before he put in the panels, he should have anticipated they would grow and block his panels. But I would look for a compromise.  Plant trees that will not block the panels to replace the ones blocking the panels and move the panels out of the shade.

Trees add more value to a home than solar panels.  So the redwoods.
