Question:

Environmentalists: Why are you so worried about a drip of used oil getting into the ground when?

there are chemtrails that the goverment is using to poison us everyday. This poison is killing our earth (much more than used oil or anything else), it's killing us, it's in our water, we are breathing it in, our pets are breathing it in, the animals we eat are eating the chemicals off of the ground, then we are getting poisoned by eating them, and the chemicals are also landing on our fruits and vegetables that are being harvested. Now, why aren't you worried about the chem trails? Please give me real answers.

  1. I'M NOT==

  2. Well... technically speaking, unused oil isn't a hazardous material...

  3. It is one of many issues.  The point of 'Non-point-source pollution' is that it comes in drips and drabs from all over - but  just like a dripping faucet can fill a tub - all those little drips add up and DO effect the world significantly. You can liken it to voting. Yes - one vote may not change the world but if enough people vote the same - then it can.  We all matter. What we do matters.

    Why would you think that environmentalists aren't worried about other chemicals in our environment? Wether it is from a major chemical spill or from automobiles dripping oil - I worry about it all.

  4. You know, I find it difficult to take any question seriously when your 'source' is youtube. I'm sorry but that is like taking a yahoo answer as fact.

    And you are using a massive generalization assuming NO 'environmentalists' care about chemicals in the environment, however your "chemtrails" are all a little too 'conspiracy theory' for me. Just sounds like a load of bull.

    I am not an 'environmentalist' but I do care about the environment and do what I can to prevent chemicals used in food growth and preparation for example. But this chemtrail stuff is too random.

    I have to say I really like catso's comment.

  5. They are not chemical trains.  They are called contrails.  They are mostly harmless.

    "Being composed of water, the visible white streams are not air pollution."

  6. Let's see if I've got this right. The government is trying to kill off all the voters and tax payers.

  7. You really shouldn't buy into the ridiculous government "chemtrail" conspiracy theory.  It's a silly idea spread by the wackos who think that the "Illuminati" is in charge of the world and that there is a global "New World Order" conspiracy.  They can't even agree on what the supposed "chemtrails" are made of and what their purpose is.  They postulate all kinds of crazy ideas like killing off those with weak immune systems, somehow magically using the chemicals for "ID tracking" (makes no sense whatsover), vaccinating particular ethnic groups, or even, laughably..."mind control" substances!

    As for used motor oil, even a very small amount can contaminate tens of thousands of gallons of drinking water if it gets into the aquifers, lakes, or streams, so that's why it's a concern.
