  1. Option C: cut down the tree with him in it, and hope he can climb down faster than I can saw through the trunk! I would think that if I were only clearing enough land for a swimming pool, it wouldn't displace many animals, maybe a couple of squirrels or birds. If I wanted to clearcut the whole 100 acres for a golf course, then I could see his point.

  2. Did you get the plan for the pool approved? If so then let him know if he has a problem with it he will just have to go through the legal means of fighting this and then call the cops.

  3. he is trespassing and should be thrown in jail.

I once had one of thes environmentalists take my fish basket from a public river bank and release my fish that i caught legaly!  I guess the tree huggers think they are above the law.

  4. Private Property signs mean No trespassing. Send him to jail

  5. He is wrong to break the law, and should pay the consequences.   With that said, you may also be breaking the law by cutting down the trees.   So I would choose option C, we all obey the law, and if we disagree with the law, we use our amazing legal system to change the law.    We don't just go around all doing whatever we want.   He doesn't get to camp out on your land.  You don't get to kill the last remaining wild bobcat.

What we have in these situations are competing interests.

You have a right to use your land as you see fit.   The government has the right to protect the last remaining polar bear on earth.   When these two interests clash, there is going to be conflict.

Neither of you gets to break the law and get away with it.   Both of you get to work through the legal channels to change the law.

  6. A: He is trespassing. My advice is to cut the tree down while he is still in it. Do it with an ax so he has plenty of time to get down. Warn him continually to get down. That way, if he breaks anything it won't be your fault. I could be wrong, consult a lawyer to be sure. Or you could shake him out. That would be fun, too.

People use the word 'Right' too loosely these days. Do some homework and find out what rights we actually have. You may find out that we have lost most of them.

I love trees, nature (small 'n'), and animals. But I detest environmentalists. They act like the n***s did in the 30s. If you think I am wrong study about n**i Germany yourself.
