  1. Many companies are doing that but they are not necessarily going to reveal how they do that to protect their own interests.

I could find no link from a company that explains their processes/methodology.

Old patterned clothing can be re-used to make covers for quilts and cushions and worn or damaged clothing can always be cut up and used around the house as rags and dusters and can be used to stuff a poofee - those leather seats/cushions you find imported from places like Morocco.

Also you could make rag dolls or teddies or something similar.

This link explains how textiles are being recycled, ie different ways:

In the UK, this link tells you where you can take your clothing items for recycling:

In the US, this link tells you where you can take your clothing items for recycling:

Here is a list of links that sell organic apparel:

Environmentally friendly cloth materials would include things like: organic: cotton, hemp and even nettle fibre.  And from recycled materials these would include cloth, such as fleece, made from plastic soda bottles and other plastics. Read this:

    Hope this helps. Best wishes.

  2. Go Hemp!

  3. Clothing made of recycled material or reused materials are the best suit for environmentally friendliness.
