Environmentally friendly way to dispose of lead wastes?

there are many was to dispose of lead wastes but a lot of them are not so good for the environment and the people that are around where it goes... what is the best way for the government and the average every day person to dispose of this hazardous waste?

If the lead is in batteries, check with your local city for places that recycle this waste.

Can you be more specific?  Most lead wastes are extremely easy to recycle, and there are effective technologies to safely dispose of some lead wastes, but you would have to specify the type of waste anfd the lead concentrations.,

Lead is not a big problem as it stands  in the weather for a very long time. The old telephone cables were covered with a lead sheath. It oxidizes on the outside and just sets there.Copper is very similar. The lead doesn't leach into our foods . It is in all our electronic equipment. U can find printed circuit boards that has been buried for 10 years and the lead is still there. Lead is very low in the electrolysis category.
