http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 International Enzo Perez has reportedly reconciled with Benfica but is still unable to train with the first team as of yet.
Enzo Perez’s fallout with the Reds was the main talking point at the club a few weeks ago. The attacking midfielder, who was signed last summer, refused to return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 from his homeland after his holidays finished in late December.
The player had fallen down the pecking order at Estadio da Luz and had hardly been utilized by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Jesus during the first-half of the campaign. Seemingly fed-up with unwanted status, the 25-year-old claimed that he did not wish to return to Lisbon and
wanted to sign for his former club Estudiantes.
Benfica were enraged by his demands and threatened to legal action against him. However both the parties were able to reach an agreement and Perez eventually returned to Portugal with his agent.
The Eagles, however, did not take his actions lightly and slapped a $1 million on him. Perez will now not only pay up the hefty amount but will also have to train alone in order to regain his fitness.
The Sky Blue International is reportedly recovering from a knee surgery he had back in September but is training alone at the club’s facilities in Seixal. His already damaged relationship with Jorge Jesus has been worsened and it remains to be seen whether
the tactician utilizes him or not.
According to reports, Benfica, have also convinced the player that he needs to change his agent, while they will take the blame of his time spent in Argentina.
Enzo Perez will be keen to move on from his episode and hopefully get his career back on track. The player possesses enough talent to play for the Portuguese giants but the presence of established names such as Nicolas Gaitan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pablo-Aimar-c28938 and Nolito has
restricted his appearances severely.
However if he proves himself in training and manages to catch the eye of the coach, then there is no reason why he shouldn’t be playing for the Benfica first-team as soon as he recovers from his surgery and is match fit.
