Eoin Morgan glad with his performance against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 Sunrisers – Cricket News Update
Delighted with his performance in a group match of the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Eoin-Joseph-Gerard-Morgan-c56032, the Kolkata Knight Riders’ middle-order batsman, expressed that run-scoring was quite easy because of short boundaries and a flat track.
Having won the toss, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 took the attack to the visitors and helped his team score 180 runs.
The Ireland-born English cricketer scored 47 runs off just 21 balls in which he scored 5 boundaries and three massive hits out of the park, turning out to be the difference between the two teams.
While expressing his views after the match, Morgan said that the team management wanted to keep the left hand-right hand combination going, which was primarily the reason why he was promoted in the batting line-up ahead of the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Manoj-Tiwary-c1890 and Yusuf Pathan.
The stylish left-hander also praised http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JH-Kallis-c1692 for his supportive act at the crease.
"We had this thing in our mind to go on with the left hand-right hand combination which has worked for us and looked to do the same in this game as well," Morgan said. "Jacques is very calm at the crease."
Morgan looked in sublime touch throughout his innings and said that the conditions were heavily in favour of the batsmen.
"It was one of those occasions were the bowler sort of missed his lengths and I got my way," he added. "It can happen especially here with a short boundary and with the ball coming on to the bat too well. I was glad I could manage to clear the ropes on a few occasions."
Ironically, Morgan has failed to find a permanent place in KKR’s playing eleven in past. It remains to be seen if he is consistently preferred over http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BB-McCullum-c1129 or not.
