Eoin Morgan, the middle-order English batsman, is sanguine of Team England’s startling success against India in the ODI series that is set to start from October 14 at the Indian turf. He claims that the Poms have learnt to tackle the flat and dry Indian
pitches, and their spinners.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 is not part of the 15-man squad due to his shoulder injury which he picked up during the last home series against the Men in Blue.
The star batsman strongly believes that all of the English players are awash with confidence after gaining the world’s top Test rank and beating the Indians. However, he admits that India are hard to defeat at home, and England will have to put extra effort
on the field.
Talking to the media today, Morgan said, “There are flat wickets where the ball doesn't really bounce and you have to be able to go over there with the attitude of whacking the ball out of the ground, have the intention of taking wickets - playing very positive
cricket. They're a very difficult side to beat on home turf.”
He further told, “I think we've managed to turn it around over the last couple of years. We've been able to dominate spinners during that middle period, and when we've done that we've won games. When we actually look to go after them and score boundaries,
we play them really well."
Recalling his team’s last historic triumph over the World Champions, Morgan revealed that the tourists used to bounce back again and again, but the hosts emphatically thrashed them every time.
Fresh from four Test, three ODI and one T20I victories at home, the Alastair Cook-led side has landed on the Indian soil to play a full-fledged series of 5 ODIs against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028 and and his men.
Morgan predicts the series to be a fierce and rip-roaring competition between the two top teams of International cricket. The 25-year-old has 13 Test, 71 ODI and 18 T20I caps to his head.
