"We got off to a fantastic start - Alex [Hales] and Luke [Wright] really came together as a pair - but from there we didn't really kick on," said Morgan at the post-match press conference on Thursday night.
"We lost wickets continuously which halted our momentum and didn't do us any favours. The total we did creep up to was probably about 10 or 15 short of par," he added further.
Morgan, who is standing in for injured http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465, recuperating at home from a recurring heel injury he had picked up during the Test leg of the itinerary, also rued the mid-innings stutter, followed by some dismal bowling performances.
The English skipper also had a word of praise for Man of the Match, Yuvraj Singh, for his match-changing all round display.
"He's a very clean striker of a cricket ball, and again always has that danger factor. He can clear the ropes and he did that tonight - he had one over when he went berserk," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 of Yuvraj.
"...all credit to him; he bowled well. He does a great job, and has done for years," the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 captain added further.
The second and final T20 between the two outfits will be played in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 tomorrow, December 22, 2012.
