http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 back in national colours – Cricket News Update
England batsman, Eoin Morgan, is rooting for Kevin Pietersen’s return in the national team and has stated that he would welcome KP back in the English fold.
In an interview with Sky Sports, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 stated, “I think everybody would like to see him back. It would be nice to see him back in England colours. He's a great player, we know he's a class player, and hopefully for him and his family things turn out well."
KP has been a pariah ever since he made a controversial statement regarding his future in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 team. He later made matters worse by allegedly sending “provocative” text messages to some members of the South African team.
According to reports, KP was critical of the then Test captain http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in those text messages.
He was consequently dropped from the third and final Test against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, which England lost and were eventually dethroned from their number-one status in the five-day game.
However, KP has stated on more than one occasion that he wants to continue playing for his adopted country. Some reports also suggest that he is now willing to play for England in all the three formats, after he had retired from one-day cricket back in May of this year.
The ECB has, however, stated that there are many issues that need to be resolved before KP can even think of wearing the national colours again.
Other than the KP issue, Morgan, praised his outgoing Test captain Strauss and said, “He's a fantastic ambassador for the game, a guy who I've looked up to and admired for a very, very long time, both for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Middlesex-c817 and England. I've had the pleasure of playing under him and I'd like to say thank you to him for learning a h**l of lot."
Strauss announced his retirement from all formats of the game last week, a shocking decision which many believe was the outcome of KP fiasco. However, team coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flower-c44362, clarified over the weekend that KP had nothing to do with Strauss’ decision to call it a day.
