Epic 18 years from 1992 to 2010, where Richard Hannon made his mark as the Britain’s best

Champion trainer 2010, Richard Hannon, reached stardom when he won a classic way back in 1973 during the war era, ran a 50 to 1 shot Mon Fils, who went on to capture the 2,000 Gunieas against all odds.
Mon Fils, originally 200 to 1 with 50 each way, laid the foundations of this larger than life trainer Richard Hannon’s success story that has catapult him to the heights of his profession.
Richard Hannon with his strike force of almost 200 horses, is a permanent member of the super league of trainers, whose horses take part in almost every significant British race to be run in all of Britain.
The super trainer from Wiltshire with an Irish name, originally started working with his father, with no more than a dozen of horses to condition.
Richard Hannon comes from a tradition of horse racing, with his father being a horse racing trainer, he transferred his talent and skill to Richard Hannon, as the champion trainer is doing with his son Richard Jr. who is the assistant trainer to his father.
Richard Hannon has a jockey for a son in law, a fully accomplished stable jockey Richard Hughes.
He acquired his license back in 1970 and roughly after 22 years Richard Hannon went on to take the crown, when he was honoured as the champion trainer in 1992.
His first championship season was nearly a perfect one back in 1992, with a sprinter like Lyric Fantasy, Richard Hannon ruled the tracks as his horse went on to win the Grade 1 Nunthorpe Stakes at York.
Richard Hannon sparked the season up, with his another significant bid for the title of the champion trainer when his horse Mr. Books won the Group 1 July Cup held at Newmarket, England.
Lester Piggott guided the Paul Green owned horse to an emphatic victory, which elevated Hannon’s position as a trainer in the year 1992.
Richard Hannon won the champion trainer of the year yet again in 2010, undoubtedly the summer of 2010 was purely unbelievable, and grinding out 214 wins altogether and finishing on top of the pile with the massive earnings of £3,226,657.
The humble trainer named the success as a team effort, and his stable for producing amazing buys throughout the year gave him the access to win races of high stature that made another champions trainer award possible for Richard Hannon.
