Epidural wearing off?

Question

I had an epidural done and when I had my c-section and believe me I tried to avoid both just my baby wasn't coming down and I wasn't dialating right.Anyways I noticed a lot of women said that there epidurals wore off and they could feel stuff.I know I had a c-section but didn't they have something in your back that they could hang the epidural stuff up and put it in the drip?They did that for me and it never wore of.IS it diffrent from that of a c-section?

I am pretty sure there is a difference between the epidural/blocks you get depending on whether it is a vaginal birth vs c-section.. I think with C-section your block is higher on your body than an epidural for regular birth

I had an epidural when I was trying to have my daughter naturally and after 16 hours it wore off completely...so the next 10 hours before they gave me the c-section I had no pain relief.  When they finally decided to give me a c-section they gave me a complete block through the same place in my back and that deadened everything and I felt nothing for a couple of hours.

I thought they use Epidural durig a C-Sec?

I had an epidural when having a normal del, i didnt need it but was still given, i had my baby and the drug started to kick in!!!

fro a c section they place the epidural higher up to effect more of your body. and they have it monitored by an anastigiologist (sp?) the whole time you are in surgery,

i had a epidural for my first vaginal birth. it wore off perfectly in time for me to push. it was perfect.

my other labors were natural. man i miss the epidural.lol.

i just wanted to say i hated the epidural.  i got it only because my dh was being a pain in my a** and i didn't want to deal with him and giving birth.  i hated the feeling and wish i hadn't do it.  it took over 10hours for mine to wear off because they forgot to shut the drip off so it ran throughout my whole labor and through the clean up and my stitches... they are very dangerous.

I had an epidural and that didn't even work for me..I had horrible back labor and I thought they gave spinals for csects..not epidurals..but anyway the one in the csects are usually higher up..and take longer to wear off..

i had a vaginal birth and i had the thing in my back but they dont keep it on a drip but if it wears off they come back and give u another shot of it thats what they did for me anyways
