Epipen Reactions?

Question

I have seafood allergies and was given the standard .3mg Epipen.... I was wondering if I was having an allergic reaction requiring an Epipen and I used it what would I feel.....

Would I feel very jittery kind of like what people look like when they do cocaine in movies.....would I become unaware of my surroundings.....

Would it compromise how well I make decisions temporarily????

Also does an Epipen keep the allergic reaction from getting worse temporarily or does it make you feel perfect temporarily...for like a few minutes.......

Shame on whoever the health care professional is that didn't educate you better about the epi-pen!

When you have an allergic reaction to the seafood, and your throat swells...and you give yourself a shot with the epi pen, the symptoms decrease quickly, and in most cases, enough to save your life.  You don't become disoriented from taking epi, but you might be disoriented from the panic one feels in not being able to breathe. There is really no reason to consider the side effects, because your choice is to use it or risk dying...

AFter using the epi pen, you should head to an ER for evaluation.

well epinephrine is just plain adrenaline, so if you've ever had an adrenaline rush, you'll know  hope that answers it?

breathing better!  Have you ever taken Bendryl ? Same response just more ingested to stop your allergic reaction. When I've taken Bendryl I become sleepy but not everyone has that reaction. stops it from getting worse.
