Epiphanny Prince scored a team-high 25 points and dished out six assists as Chicago Sky knocked down the Connecticut Sun 107-101 in double overtime on Thursday night at Allstate Arena.

Chicago played one of their best defensive games this season and limited Sun to 39.8 percent shooting from the field. Five players from Chicago reached double figures, including three double-doubles. Centre Sylvia Fowles added
24 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks while Tamera Young came off the bench with 20 points, shooting 8 for 11 from the field, four rebounds and three assists.
Michelle Snow recorded a game high 17 rebounds and 12 points and Courtney Vandersloot contributed 14 points and 10 assists for in season’s fourth victory for Chicago.
Renee Montgomery scored a game-high 33 points, tying her career high, and dished out six assists to lead Sun, who saw their three-game winning streak halted. Tina Charles was the only player for Connecticut to reach double-double
with 22 points and a team-high 13 rebounds. Kara Lawson added 15 points, five assists and five rebounds off the bench while Asjha Jones and Tan White ended with 10 points each. Jones also grabbed nine rebounds for Connecticut, who lost for a second time in
three games to Sky.
Chicago scored first five points of the opening period and carried a 19-15 lead into the second. Both teams then scored 19 points each in the second quarter as Sky maintained their four-point lead at halftime.
Sun made a huge surge in the third quarter and outscored Chicago 25-19, converting first half deficit into a two-point lead, 59-57, heading into the final stanza.
In a tightly contested and crucial fourth quarter, Chicago bounced back to take an 84-81 lead with just nine ticks to go. However, the top scorer of the night, Montgomery hit a three-point dagger to tie the game at 84-84, sending
it into overtime.
Chicago trailed, 92-90, with six seconds to go in the first O.T. but Fowles’ turnaround jumper tied the game at 92, extending it to second O.T.
Tan White drove to the rim with three and half minutes to go in the second O.T. to put the Sun ahead by 96-92 but Chicago responded with a 15-5 spurt fuelled by Prince’s 10-point blitz to walk away with fourth victory of the current
season.
Sun coach Mike Thibault said at the end of the game, "These are the games that are frustrating because you have a chance to win a road game against a good team and we didn't execute at the end of the game at either end of the floor."
