If you use Paypal, you're protected if it's a scam, if not, eBay still has protection against scams so you can get some sort of refund.

Epiphones and Gibson Les Pauls are 100% the same for materials, minus the pick-ups.  The only difference in manufacturing is that Gibson Les Pauls are hand-built and tested, and Epiphones are machine-built, and you could get a bad one or a good one.

Definitely! Most epiphones are are Gibsons with less elaborate electronic components. Doesn't mean they are junk, just not as expensive.
