Is putting epsom salts safe in a 2QT e***a bag. I was going to take one the other night but was not sure if it was safe. I have read on other websites that it is a good laxative? Any help?

Thanks, please only serious replies.

  1. Sure, epsom salt can be taken internally (digested) so there should be no problem with taking it that route.  Just make sure it's fully dissolved as a powder.

  2. Yes, make sure it is diluted and the temp is not to hot!

    Here is a recipe link:

  3. Even plain soap & water makes a fine lubricant for use as an e***a. Ask any pharmacist. Read the label on the product you buy.

And 2QT is a lot; 4oz ought to do the job. Drink lots of PLAIN water everyday & eat green, leafy veggies to avoid bowel troubles.

  4. Hi Tami, yes you can use epsom salt in your two qt e***a bag. I use plain table salt in mine, it helps the colon to absorb the water. Only use one teaspoon per qt. Be sure the water in not to hot or to cold. I do this all the time and never have any side affects. Email me with any questions.

  5. Careful... if it's too salty... you might pickle yourself ! ! !
