Epson TM on Windows XP with serial

Question

I can't get this TM-U295 working properly on XP. I'm connected to com1 and my port configurations seem to match between the system and the printer but its status remains ''unavailable''.I've run a self-test to verify the configurations and that the printer works fine. No problems.When I try to print from command prompt i get the message ''access denied''After installing the driver and rebooting with the printer plugged in and turned on, the printer starts printing question marks non-stop until I turn it off and set the appropriate DIP switch to ignore ''data reception error''.Any suggestion or even questions would be helpfull.
