write the following equations in slope intercept form..

1. 2x - y = 8?

2. 3x - 7 = 0?

3. 4y = 3x + 16?

4. y + 3x = 1?

5. x = 14 - 7y?

  1. Better still, how about you do your own homework.

    If you need someone to explain how to work it out for yourself, fine, then say that; however, if you're just too darned lazy to do it yourself, well, last time I looked it didn't say 'mug' on my forehead, mate.

    (Most people here are home-educating mums; if you reckon they're going to give you the answers with no sign of any effort on your part, well, you're nuts!)


  2. The "slope intercept form" is y = mx + c.

    A few pointers on manipulation:

    - when any item is brought over the equal sign, it changes sign (from + to -).

    - if 3a = b then a = 1/3 b.

    With these, all the best in doing it yourself.
