Equatiorial Guinea the SECOND RICHEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD????

How is it there are mixed answers everywhere, some say the second richests other the 58th richest. Somes placs GDP-$50,600, $12,500 and some evan $2,700. How is this so ? I know they have found lots of oil under the ground but that doesnt make everyone so rich all of a sudden. How is it the second richest country??

Oil tends to skew things. Even looking at GDP skews things. You have to look at things like infant mortality and literacy.

Are you sure you are checking Equitorial Guinea each time, and not Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Papua New Guinea?
