I have a meade 114-EQ newtonian reflector with an equatorial mount. My mom recently tried to move the telescope to make it fit into the garage, and in doing so she tilted the scope, which stripped out the right ascension gear. Now, when I try to point the telescope at a star, it won't stay in that position, and the scope will fall back or fall forward. I have to manually hold it in place. I was wondering if this is possible to fix, and if so, how much money would it cost?
