Equity 44100 clock radio problem

Question

I just bought this Equity 44100 today and I am having a hard time setting the time. I plugged it in and it right away went to the right time. I wanted to move the clock to another spot and unplugged it. When I plugged it in again it just went to 12:00 and started to keep time from there. The est time is correct however but I am in pst. I have followed the directions on the instuctions but I must be missing something or doing something wrong. How can I adjust time and minutes when I need to? Thanks for any help. Monica
