Erase my hard drive of windows and all.?

Thanks for reading, i have low computer skills and dell sold me a bigger hard drive for my inspiron 640m.I had to ring to find out why it wouldn't do anything when i put it in.(that's an eg of my knowledge) i had to put windows on it and stuff.Well i stuffed it and they will take it back, before i send it can i rub off all the stuff i put on it.i started doing cable transfer and god knows what else.

So, erase back to blank, zip, zilch, nothing, empty, bare, clear, vacant, vacuous, void

  1. what worked for me and was suggested by someone who knows computers is

    turn the computer off then as it is starts back up hold down the F10 key on the keyboard for about 30 seconds.. i think. it gets rid of everything. i hope it works for you.


  2. take the cover off the harddrive and than take a magnet and rub it on the disks before you do this however make sure with the manufacturer that it wont s***w it up(it does on some models)
