Erasing songs on Ipod and still having them on Itunes?

Hi, I was wondering if there is ANY way to take songs out of the ipod without the songs leaving the Itunes playlist.

I want to take some songs off my IPOD (because I have no more room left), but still be able to play it on my itunes without having to open the folder of where all my songs are.

you have to go to the main page when syncing your ipod and check manually manage songs and check those songs you want and uncheck the ones you don't then sync

yes. You have to change your ipod to manually update. Then you have your whole library on itunes but can manage your songs on your ipod independently. The downside to this is when you add new songs to your itunes you have to remember to add them manually to your ipod.
